Philadelphia Housing Helper Benefit Tool

Social workers are effective when they know their community resources. It is our bag of tricks. For the past few years I’ve been collecting some of these resources, mostly in the area of voter engagement. The purpose of this page is to publish some of these compilations, programs or resources.

The decision to create a Philadelphia page occurred in November when discovering the Philadelphia Housing Helper Benefit Tool promoted by the Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation (PHDC)  in conjunction with the city’s Department of Planning and Development.

Looking for some resources to help maintain your home? Answer a few questions in the Housing Helper Benefit Tool and get a list of programs for which you may be eligible, whether a homeowner or a tenant in Philadelphia.

Project HOME’s Where to Turn Guide

The Where to Turn Guide is a regularly updated list of resources for people experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. Please feel free to email wheretoturn@projecthome.org   with any suggestion.  Use their contact page to subscribe to their news, events and programs.
