Social workers are effective when they know their community resources. It is our bag of tricks. For the past few years I’ve been collecting some of these resources. This page serves to share some of these Philadelphia resources.
Philadelphia Housing Helper Benefit Tool
The decision to create a Philadelphia resource page occurred when discovering the Philadelphia Housing Helper Benefit Tool, an online benefit tool promoted by the Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation (PHDC) in conjunction with the city’s Department of Planning and Development.
Looking for some resources to help maintain your home? Answer a few questions in the Housing Helper Benefit Tool and get a list of programs for which you may be eligible, whether a homeowner or a tenant in Philadelphia.
Project HOME Where to Turn Guide
The Where to Turn Guide, published by Project HOME, is a regularly updated list of resources for people experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. Please feel free to email wheretoturn@projecthome.org with any suggestions on how to improve their services or use their contact page to subscribe to their news, events and programs. If you are seeking help, call the Philadelphia Homeless Outreach Hotline at 215-232-1984.
